The ‘Make Money
Make Sense’ resource has been developed by Eastbourne Citizens
Advice Bureau and East Sussex Trading Standards.
‘Make Money Make Sense’ aims to provide consumers,
educators and teachers with all they need to teach the financial
literacy aspects of the citizenship curriculum.
The resource can be used by teachers, educators and by students
or young people. The website has been designed so that young people
can teach themselves about financial matters or an educator can
use the tools and lesson plans to teach the subjects.
The resource has been developed with guidance from teachers and
students to ensure that it is suitable for use in and outside of
the classroom.
‘Make Money Make Sense’ has areas suitable for Key
stage 3–4 and 16+. It has been designed to fit in with the
citizenship curriculum.
The website contains:
- Flash movies
- PowerPoint presentations
- Lesson plans
- Student worksheets
- Student quizzes
- Practical activities
We will also make regular checks to ensure that materials and resources
are updated, so that they keep in line with changes in legislation
or the citizenship syllabus.
